cover Betsy Says

My favorite Blossom is Mud. He was based on a real dog by that name. Some of the other characters in the Blossom books who were based on real people are Ralphie and Mad Mary. The idea for the last book Wanted..Mud Blossom came from something from my childhood. When I was a girl, I had a dog named Mac and Mac was put on trial for murder. A neighbor's prize chicken was the victim. (Mac got off, but my father still had to pay for the chicken which I did not think was fair.)
